Joan Haren
The highlight of our opening ceremony was having Joan Haren and her family and friends with us on the day. The Sisters of Mercy, to whom the building is dedicated, were also present and were very enthused about the school, especially the Joan Haren Performing Arts Centre.
The day was a double celebration for Joan as it was also her birthday. The students had prepared a book for her and presented her with flowers for her special day. -

Blessing and Opening
We thank Fr Philip Marshall, Vicar General of the Adelaide Archdiocese, for celebrating the Liturgy and blessing the new building.
Fr Philip was a great favourite with the children as he introduced his troubled friend Hosanna and asked the children about the school.
Senator Alex Gallacher, presided over the Opening Ceremony and plaque unveiling, while Dr Paul Sharkey, Director of Catholic Education spoke with the children as well as addressing the adults who had come to join in this momentous occasion.
