At Catherine McAuley, our approach to Personal Responsibility is based on our Christian Values, particularly resting in the dignity of each individual.

We believe that each child is unique and of equal importance, and has a special contribution to make to our school community.

Our aim is to:

•  Direct children’s energies towards positive strategies for the development of appropriate behaviour.

•  Show children they are special, so they may grow in love and respect for themselves and one another.

•  Create a safe, happy, and cooperative environment.

•  Work in partnership with parents in order to foster children’s positive development of appropriate behaviour.

• Our school promotes personal responsibility and offers programs such as Program Achieve, Bully Busters, Mentoring, Cyber Safety and the Child Protection Curriculum

•  Empower children to take responsibility for their own actions.

Catherine McAuley encourages personal responsibility through our implementation of the "Safe School Policy" and  "Anti-Bullying and Harassment "programs and policies.
