Parents
Welcome to Catherine McAuley ~ Parents
We welcome parents to come and visit classrooms and see their children engaging in their learning.
Parental involvement is valued and encouraged at Catherine McAuley as it has many positive benefits for your child's social and academic development.
We have a very active parent team called the Catherine McAuley Community Team ( similar to "Parents & Friends").
The Catherine McAuley Community Team or CMCT works in close partnership with the School Board to support the vision of our school. It runs a broad range of activities to provide experiences and funds for our community.
How can you become involved as a parent?
We would love you to help out in any way that you are able:
- listening to reading in the classroom
- sharing artistic talents such as craft or technology
- being an extra pair of hands during an art lesson
- helping in a cooking elective
- fund raising at different events
- join the School Board
- become part of the Parents and Friends Association
- train to be part of support programs
- become a Classroom Representative
- volunteer for excursions and sporting events
- keep up-to-date with all of the exciting celebrations at school (via the school website, blog and newsletters) and volunteer to assist)
