We loved having a visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog during our Book Fair.
We focus on Children's Book Week with fun activities across the Campus every year.
Resource Centre
Our school Resource Centre is a central hub for learning at the McAuley Playford Campus.
This contemporary designed educational facility embraces new design ideas for learning spaces and compliments the modern Library / Resource Centre.
It is a shared learning area where students can choose from a collection of over 36,000 items including the latest release popular picture books, novels and information books.
We have an extensive computer network across the school providing students access to a range of digital resources on the school's intranet and on-line resources through the Internet.
Staff resources are extensive, catering for all year levels and curriculum areas. We have a large collection of shared campus teacher reference as well as dedicated Catherine McAuley School curriculum support materials.
Classes visit the Resource Centre weekly for planned learning activities, stories and borrowing, however staff and students are welcome to browse, research and borrow at any time.
Younger students are encouraged to borrow books for enjoyment and to experiment with their interests and reading abilities.
It is expected that the older students will select books for both enjoyment and research support.
